I wish I could shoot this wedding again, and again and again.
You will never in your life meet a more beautiful and genuinely caring person than Natasha. Her counterpart, Steve is the perfect ying to her yang. Their breathtaking timeless grace is complimented by the most amazing sense of humor and appreciation of a good time.
This was a little extra special, because of the dress. The dress was originally Natasha’s mothers, and over the course of a year it was transformed into the dress Natasha wore on her wedding day. I was lucky enough to visit the seamstress with her and capture the whole thing being made from start to finish; watching her mother help put it on her was emotional for the whole room.
Jeff stole her heart when she was barely in Junior High, Lauren’s the salt to his pepper. Both of them have super awesome outlooks on life, and are some of the raddest stylish people around.
Another laid back couple, who went with the flow and really enjoyed their wedding day. It’s really all about enjoying the day, not for what it’s “supposed to be” but for what it is. I’m just along for the ride.
Lauren’s talented mother made her wedding dress with the help of a friend, sometimes a bridal salon isn’t the answer… especially if your mother is this wicked!
This image remains to be one of my favorite images from a wedding I’ve ever shot. I’ve never seen a prouder father as Lauren walked down the stairs. He loved his family and especially his little girl as much as man could physically love and he was not afraid to let the world know.
At the time of the wedding Lauren’s grandfather was in the hospital and we took time from portraits to stop and visit him, his eyes lit up like diamonds when Lauren and Jeff walked in the room.
Fogtown let us take over for a bit, 90% of my dude friends get their cut and shave here. So many handsome men roaming St. John’s thanks to the great guys here!
Lauren and Jeff chose Lauren’s parents anniversary as their wedding date, and surprised her mother with a vow-renewal at the end of the dinner!
I’m sitting here, typing this remember how wonderfully warm this day was; these two have such great chemistry, I hope their wedding day is just as beautiful.
I was filled with joy when Natasha and Steve asked me to be their wedding photographer, for if someone asked me to name the most beautiful person I know – it’s Natasha. Inside and out.
I’m so happy that Holly and Jen’s wedding was one of the first of the seasons, because I was absolutely too excited to wait any longer to shoot this wedding; and these girls have STYLE! What’s better than one bride? Two! What’s better than a first look before a ceremony? This entire day was perfection, straight from a book on beautiful love!
The Leadise Manor was such a beautiful location for the girls to get ready in, and were so gracious in letting us take a few shots around the property.
It was a drizzly day, so just like the proper Newfoundlanders – they had their rubber boots handy!
Piatto was so wonderful for letting us book the enoceta as a get away from the rain.
This ladder was made by Jen’s father with love!
Needing a snack, and loving the vibe – we stopped into Relish Gourmet Burger here in St. John’s for a few fries!
A DIY wedding true to the heart!
More of the girls handy work below!
All baked with love 🙂
The most absolute best song to do a garter removal to; “Peacock” by Katy Perry
I love love Lester’s farm as a location for your wedding ceremony and reception, outdoors or indoors – they aim to please!
I’m really this behind, please don’t judge me. I just can’t go on blogging and not share how beautiful my winter couples were!!!
Melissa and Matt were married two days before Christmas Eve, on a perfect crisp winter day. They were stylish, fun and had a old hollywood style throughout the wedding. All of which was complemented by the fact they’re both lovely people, inside and out!
Driving up the hill to Stephanie’s house before the wedding – a horse led the way. I immediately saw that as a sign that Random Island was about to show me how beautiful it really could be, as a backdrop for Steph and Adam’s October wedding day.
