I’m so happy that Holly and Jen’s wedding was one of the first of the seasons, because I was absolutely too excited to wait any longer to shoot this wedding; and these girls have STYLE! What’s better than one bride? Two! What’s better than a first look before a ceremony? This entire day was perfection, straight from a book on beautiful love!
The Leadise Manor was such a beautiful location for the girls to get ready in, and were so gracious in letting us take a few shots around the property.
It was a drizzly day, so just like the proper Newfoundlanders – they had their rubber boots handy!
Piatto was so wonderful for letting us book the enoceta as a get away from the rain.
This ladder was made by Jen’s father with love!
Needing a snack, and loving the vibe – we stopped into Relish Gourmet Burger here in St. John’s for a few fries!
A DIY wedding true to the heart!
More of the girls handy work below!
All baked with love 🙂
The most absolute best song to do a garter removal to; “Peacock” by Katy Perry
I love love Lester’s farm as a location for your wedding ceremony and reception, outdoors or indoors – they aim to please!
Jordan and Vanessa were married on a foggy day on Jordan’s fathers boat, just launched off of the wharf in Dildo harbour in May. Not once did they let the RDF get them down, and we had an incredible day trying to grab the minutes between the downpours for shoots, eating the abundance of food Jordan’s parents graciously arranged for the party, along with a big white party tent in the backyard.
At one point, you have to to say f*ck it.
I’m glad we did.
They kinda eloped on Cape Spear 4 hours ago…
By pushing the shoot ahead one day to Sunday we captured the most beautiful morning light on the normally frigid Cape Spear. However, mother nature spared us her winds for Brad and Denene’s engagement shoot on North America’s most easterly point, and we fought through the cold to get really killer shots. A few wet feet didn’t bother Brad that much – I joined him by finding every bog hole in the area to fall, roll or step in.
Only recently engaged this Christmas season (in a festival of lights lit Bowring Park) Denene joked that Brad was nervous about the fact he he had to kiss in front of the camera, however he didn’t hold back with the kisses at all. Can you blame him though? Denene’s a stunner, with a beautiful laugh and bright eyes.
AND, they brought the cutest sign thus securing my place as a favorite couple. (Get into your engagement shoots! Get creative! Be you! Yay!)
On a day in mid-December, we drove to Green’s Harbour (near my home town) and shot a beautiful wedding (and did I forget to mention it was 6 degrees?) Ian and Jenelle themselves, are incredible people – but what makes them a family is their energetic little boy Tyson. I wish all of my December weddings are as unique and fun (and warm) as this one was.
With everything perfect in place, a few quick shots with a nervous smirks, it’s her two men who really brings out the big smiles.
Tyson getting the finishing touches on his tie, he has a big role today.
He has to be there when his mom and dad tie the knot!
Obviously, in his wise age he had advice to give to mommy.
Ian, abided by the power of Wine, stepped up and sang to his new wife John Prine’s “In Spite of Ourselves” in one of the cutest romantic gesture I’ve ever seen.
I’m not kidding, this post is so full of awesome and hotness it’ll keep my fellow Newfies warm on this cold night. I posted a sneak peek from Randy and Dinah’s engagement session a few weeks ago, and I’ve been anxiously waiting to share with you the rest of their photos from their incredible shoot! I LOVE a couple who’s up for anything, including rooftop climbing – haha.
I absolutely A D O R E Dinah’s boots!
Congrats Randy and Dinah on your enagement! 🙂
