Shooting another photographer’s wedding is nothing short of an honor, especially when that photographer is the one and only Aamie Gillam. She’s my soul sister, no doubt.
I’ve been busy.
I know everyone says that, but I seriously have been flat out. I also kinda got married to the most wicked man alive. More on that later.
Back in June, Sarah & Shawn decided that they liked each other a whole bunch and should celebrate that fact by getting married and doing an awesome job at it.
They invited me along for the ride, it was DEADLY! (For those non-newfs Deadly = Awesome, amazing, wicked, A+)
Dies for a drop of Fred’s Records on Duckworth, they’re my go to for Vinyl purchases and are close to my heart as it was our engagement location! Shawn and Sarah are MASSIVE music lovers, as you may have seen from his CD collection earlier.
Another key is to keep your belly happy… don’t be afraid to snack!
It’s incredible what a few sets of lights can do to bring down a usually high and dark ceiling here at the Fluvarium, such a beautiful final touch by Sarah & Shawn!
Tommy and Jess are FUN. I knew it from the moment I met them, it was confirmed on their engagement shoot – so naturally that meant I was bouncing off the walls with excitement during the days leading up to their wedding. They’re music lovers like me so music was tied into their event from mixtape CD’s as gifts, Fred’s for a few photos – and the dance floor being filled up from the moment supper was cleared from the table. (Seriously! The family started moving and shaking to the DJ’s ambient music while the staff at Holiday Inn were cleaning up, these families knew how to party)
They compliment each other perfectly – with incredible personalities to match, shooting their wedding was such a dream.
