On a perfect fall day, Arlynn and Steve said I do in a church with the most lovely light. We then soaked up the autumn sun in downtown St. John’s, with a detour to enjoy the pumpkin patch at Lester’s Farm.
Newfoundland weather tried it’s best to keep us from getting outdoors, but Katie and Jay are just too damn awesome.
Some of these faces may seem familiar – and it won’t be the last time you see them on the blog either! I love when I get hired in the same groups of friends – thank god the camera doesn’t have sound, right guys?
Rocket bakery is the bomb!
I’ve known Johnny for as long as I can remember, back when he had long hair flowing down his back. His family and mine have been intertwined since as long as I have lived in this province, through so many different routes. I was more than happy to be a part of his marriage to the beautiful Heather, whose love of music is matched perfectly with Johnny’s. Their entire wedding centered around their careers, life long obsession and love – music. It was a wedding aimed straight at my heart.
The day was more than beautiful, as we reached our final location Fort Amherst we were greeted by the end of a rainbow, and completely surrounded by fog. This wasn’t your a-typical grey fog you see everywhere, this was St. John’s fog – which had the sun BLASTING behind it.. giving the most softest, dreamy light you could ever imagine. It was at that moment their wedding felt like we were living a dream.
I wanted Johnny and the guys to be comfortable in front of the camera, so they broke out the instruments and as you can see… it worked.
Heather’s hair was stunning, I love the wild nature to it – and it stayed perfect throughout the day!
Heather’s niece, Jane, had the best room – naturally I loved the color!
Managed to catch the ferry! This was just outside Atlantica, where they had their engagement supper and where they were going to be staying that evening. Stunning area, especially in evening light.
Heather changed into something a little more comfortable to make the hike in, so by this time the three of us were in chucks.
There was no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow – but a rockin’ bride and groom were.
Band name tables!! Custom Jones bottles!
