Paddy + Ashley | Colourful & Offbeat Newfoundland Wedding
The moment I saw their adorable New Years Eve Fireworks engagement surprise – there was one thing I knew; I wanted to shoot this wedding.
Ashley’s style is all her own, she’s been that way from the day I met her – and many years before that. Paddy embraces, loves and cherishes her unique beauty – in a way that people can only dream of.
This was my last wedding of the season, it was my busiest/craziest/best season to date. I’ve found myself a little more, I’ve grown a little more – and it was the first year that weddings didn’t feel like work to me. The hours flew by, the photos came easily, my creativity flowed. Why? It’s because people are embracing themselves, their individuality and tossing away the notion that weddings have to be a stuffy, dragged out, boring events.
So to my clients, thank you for being offbeat, thank you for trusting me and thank you for being you.
To future clients: eat poutine at your wedding, kiss each other before the ceremony, have a cactus bouquet, walk barefoot down the aisle, have a mohawk, wear that pink, purple, blue dress and most of all – don’t forget that this is YOUR wedding. At the end of it all, it’s a reflection of who you are as people and the love you share together. Get creative, get unique and never stop having fun.
Whispering sweet nothings into each others ears after the vows, what a wonderful idea. I’d say something ridiculous.
Heels are a beauty to look at, but hell to walk in. Quick change over to boots.
Wondering where Ashley’s sweet tattoos come from? The wonderful people at Troublebound!
