Ian + Amy :: Humber Valley, Newfoundland :: Modern Vintage Wedding
Our final consultation before the wedding was supposed to be a quick one – but over an hour later we were finishing each others sentences and prancing out of the coffee shop high on life. This wedding was hand made with love. From the family contributions to Ian’s willingness to go with all of Amy’s hearts desires. Hand painted signs, thoughtful and careful planning went into one of the most beautiful and intimate weddings I’ve been a part of. Humber Valley is absolutely stunning, as if the swoon worthy couple weren’t gorgeous enough – the locations certainly completed the picture.
I could write thousands of words about the love shared between these two, the way my heart skipped a beat when Ian pulled Amy closer to him with a kiss or the astounding support from their family and friends in making this the wedding of their dreams. However the pictures say enough.
and yes, they’re doing a rock the dress session in the spring.
This moment was perfection.
Thanks to Bev – Jen’s Mama for being cool with us shooting with the ever famous ampersand. <3

Bob + Jen :: Bridal Session at the FAIR!
Bob and Jen’s wedding was wild, amazing and seemed to fly by! At the end of the night I knew I wanted to take these two and do a bunch more pictures of them alone, so a few nights later we made our way up to Thomas Amusements to take over. Honestly, you can’t imagine the fun it is hanging with a bride and groom at the fair! Especially Jen and Bob – as they’re up for absolutely ANYTHING. ♥ The lighting on these was thanks to my own personal lighting guy, hehe.
I don’t do well spinning in circles for long periods of time, I have projectile cookie spewing issues. I swallowed my pride (and everything else) and hopped into a cup on the Tip Top to grab my FAVORITE series of pictures of a bride and groom.
Stephen + Sara :: Sept 10th :: Winterton, NL
It’s been many, many years since I roamed the hills of Winterton, just as many since I’ve known Sara. While we’ve may not have always seen eye to eye, we reconnected after high school and she’s grew into a stunning woman whose life has been full of surprises and blessings. She’s your beautiful girl next door, and Stephen knew this. They may not have spent any time together all those years of growing up on the hill, but one Christmas with the sounds of Mummers hanging over head they took a chance on destiny. Sara always asked her friends how you KNEW you had found the one, they both said after their first kiss they knew. Soul mates.

Fine looking bunch of guys I had to deal with for the day.
Stephen’s a bit of a hero, he helps serve and protect our country – and gives up time with his new wife to go over seas. Found at an estate sale for a former solider, Sara found an old compass to give to her sailor to always guide him home to her. She figured since it helped the original owner home, it could do the same for Stephen. <3
You first ask a groom what he wants for his wedding supper and you’ll get everything from Ches’s to a prime steak. Stephen loves a bit of KFC and was the FIRST groom to win the battle to have his choice of food at the reception. I have never been happier to eat fries and gravy at a wedding in my life. Take note – you don’t have to serve the same thing as everyone else. Go with what you love, everyone else will love you too!
Kent + Barb :: Sept 9th, 2011 – The Wedding with the Super Heroes & the Helicopter
In June she stood next to her best friend Renee, as Renee said I do to her dream man Brad. A few days later she was in my bed, being absolutely stunning.
On Sept 9th, she said I do to her tall, dark and handsome man. There are some people that just complete each other, I know I’ve probably said that before. However I’ve been around Barb quite a few times, and my only chance to meet Kent before the wedding was as the Helicopter was pulling away (we’ll get to that later). There’s an energy between them, I like to call them my super hero couple. Barb is with the Canadian forces, Kent is a Search and Rescue tech. They’re selfless, hilarious, amazing and so deeply in love. Surrounded by close family and friends, at the Hibb’s family cabin off of Bauline Line they said their vows and sealed it with a kiss. The rest of the day was spent buckled over in laughter, getting stung by hornets, being gifted sexually suggestive dice and full of beautiful, beautiful people.
Jeeze, I’m tearing up and everything.
Don’t cry.
A wonderful surprise from Kent’s buddies in SAR.

The smiles from the little ones aren’t easy to get sometimes, the bridesmaids caught on to my secret…
This crooked big chair caught our eye, but little did we know underneath it was a gigantic hornets nest. Did I ever tell you how my brides are troopers? Two stings on her bare foot. What did she do? Walk it off.
Are you swooning yet?
No direction needed, they were this natural, this incredible.
I’m really glad my grooms past and present like to break it down.
