Darryl & Deanne :: August 20, 2011 – Pinchard’s Island, Newfoundland Wedding
The boys prepped by washing Darryl’s truck. The girls prepped by shooting Sour Puss and Golden Wedding. If there was any nervousness between these two, it was hard to tell. The air hung with excitement and anticipation. We all loaded into speed boats and were brought just off the coast of Newtown to Pinchard’s Island. While this name may not be familiar to you, it’s a name that holds over a hundred years of history for Deanne’s family and she was about to have the first wedding on the island since the the island was resettled in the early 1950′s.

Deanne handmade these necklaces for her bridesmaids from beach glass!
The chariot awaited us.

There are very few structureson Pinchard’s Island, those two red cabins you see are the family cabins. The flag on the hill to the right, is just above where they said I Do.
Have you ever seen a more joyous bride?
The day was a bright one, the sun did it’s best to stay hidden but the sky was just hurtin’.
They were married on the very spot the old Methodist Church stood, which is where the last wedding on the island was held.
But wait, not only is Darryl a dashingly handsome man – he’s a man of service too.
