Quick Note:

5 06 2009

Most of my updates are over in the Music Blog as most of my work is Music Photography, however Grad and Wedding season are now under way so expect a few posts here.

Also I’ve been getting a lot of emails in regards to me moving to Toronto. Please understand I am moving at the END of Sept. and all your wedding contracts are secure and your wedding will take place. No need to panic! :) For those who have me booked in 2010 (the small amount of you, as I’ve cut my bookings down for that summer) you’re all aware that I will be flying from out of province for your wedding and all will occur as planned! :)

Thanks!

Karaoke Star Jr Pt. 2

Here’s a few more shots from the second day of shooting;

Karaoke Star Jr.

4 03 2009

This past Sunday hundreds of kids lined up at the Village mall to audition for CMT/YTV’s Karaoke Star Jr. I was there freelancing, standing back behind the crowd not being invasive, introduced myself to one of the producers and through a bit of chatting we got me in a position that worked well for me. I was able to meet all the cast and crew, and ended up shooting not just one day, but two days, covering the top 5 auditions the next day. The crew was amazing, so I took it upon myself to show them a good time here in Newfoundland, and that’s what started a new lovely friendship with the FANTASTIC crew.

The kids had 6 songs to choose from, but the favorite of the day was “Love Story” by “Taylor Swift” which 98% of the contestants sang and as lovely a song as it is – if I hear it again… I might explode. It was extremely neat to see the ins and outs of a televised competition like this, and I wasn’t afraid to get my hands dirty and help pack up the set after the second day was over!

What a great couple of days- and hopefully the start of many more like it!

Keeping up!

27 02 2009

I’m going to try and blog at least once a week on my portrait blog and my music blog. Let’s see if I can actually pull this off!

I have a few projects I’m working on that I’ll blog about when they actually start happening. Even though it’s only February – Grad and wedding season is slowlllyyyy sneaking up on me, and I’m glad to say I’m ready to ROCK IT!

I’ve been asked a few times in the past little while who’s my inspiration, and my favorite photographer.

Hands down?

Joey Lawerence.

CHECK.HIM.OUT!

Ps; This is Tiffany, isn’t that smile infectious?

Nicole & Allyson

22 01 2009

I’ve been slack on my posting, but I’m entering into the slow season of photography, which is good rest as we all know grad and wedding season tends to sneak up on us!

It seems I was blessed with hot friends, and as a photographer, I don’t consider this a bad thing. (Just a bit hard on the self esteem issues ha ha) It’s customary for me and the girls to get together for a few glasses (or bottles) of wine on the weekends, and we usually end up in the studio (oh the woes of having a studio in your home haha). Some of the photos that come out these wine induced photo shoots are not to be seen by the public eye, but I have a few of these two gorgeous babes (Nicole and Allyson) that I can’t resist posting.

Channeling Vargas

I think I was blessed with two talents, the first is knowing what I’m doing behind a camera. The second? Finding the hottest people in the entire world and making them my friends. Point in case? Chandra.

You’ve Got A Front Row Seat, Lean back & Put Up Your Feet

8 12 2008

HUGE thanks to the Bonnie and the staff at the Cotton Club for letting us over run their club during the day to get these shots done! Such a fun shoot, and yes, we did all attempt the pole. Megan McNeil was one of my sexy models AND my assistant, and Vicki King did the makeup (She’s fab. hire her!).

Starting out early

Lucas is going to grow up to be a hockey player, a fire fighter or a musician. All of which wouldn’t be bad career choices. It’s always good to have a bass lying around your studio… you never know what shot you’re going to get..

Headline Honeys

10 11 2008

I recently was asked to shoot three beautiful ladies in a hot bubbly jacuzzi situation…. and I’m never one to turn down an opportunity like that! The three ladies, Alicia, Helen and Hilary all are a part of Headline Honeys which are a trio of local performers looking to create an outlet for local talent of all varieties. They’re most known for their hugely popular burlesque classes and shows.

Also seen on the cover of the Current Nov 7th issue!
